Peter Albert بيتر ألبرت     Exploring materials and colors, and the concepts of contemporary art in Egypt, Peter Albert’s string artworks are delicate and polished, using colorful threads and sealing his complex constructions in thick resin. Calling it “Epostring Art,” Peter says: “string art was known in England at the end of the 19th century by Mary Everest Paul and used in the introduction of accessible mathematical ideas for children and circulated as an idea for art at the end of 1960.” Like line drawings carefully interwoven and criss-crossing, the details become a whole as one stands back. In a city so tied to its ancient roots, Peter’s artistic journey is one Luxor Art Gallery appreciates and looks forward to following.
