ABDULRHMAN NUSAIR

Abdulrhaman Nusair    Just across from Luxor Art Gallery, at the UNESCO World Heritage archeological site of the Temple of Amenhotep III, Abdulrhaman Nusair has worked as an Architect and Archaeologist since 2015, and at Karnak Temple since 2019. Somewhere along the way, he picked up a camera and discovered his own unique eye for compositions, combined with his insiders access to sites throughout Egypt, local and private, urban and rural. Seeing his growing collection of images, it is impossible to deny that he has a photographer’s gift for capturing moments and finding the sublime in the everyday. Submerged in the morning glow of the Egyptian sun, or the surreal aura of evening’s light in this ancient land, and traveling throughout the country finding new perspectives of familiar places, Abdulrhaman’s photographs are nostalgic and elegant. —D.N.
