FATMA ABDALLAH
Fatma Abdallah Luxor Art Gallery’s ideal is to support Upper Egypt artists like Fatma Abdallah, a recent graduate from the Faculty of Fine Arts South Valley University in Luxor. Her prolific paintings and sketches in oil of Luxor’s landscapes, rural environments, villages scenes, and intimate moments among Egyptian women and family at home, shows a commitment to honor her intuitive artistry and a dedication to hone her craft. Her colorful, enriched techniques morph her thoughtful compositions into dense, surprising empasto impressions, sometimes moving her work toward near abstractions. Her passionate paintings convey a sentimental joy of the land and its people, and are perhaps insightful of Fatma herself: demure yet wonderfully bold.
