Merna Farid A student at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Luxor, it is quickly apparent that artist Merna Farid is in good company, with inspiring professors as well as classmates to influence and encourage her. Many of her images are indeed experimental classroom studies, and yet… the natural born skill of this young artist is as vibrant as the colors she paints, with bold brushstrokes, fearless gestures, and a confident gaze in each of her portraits, including her own self. Something in Merna’s style and sheer joy cannot be taught or learned; her work is as radiant as her own smile and optimistic approach.
