Nadem Oraby Luxor Art Gallery is so pleased to feature the contemporary artwork of Nadem Oraby. Distinctive, striking, and personal, Nadem’s imagery delves with collage, experiments with expressive cutouts and colors, and explores intimate meditations that include self portraits and familiar ancient Egyptian symbolisms, juxtaposed by contemporary playful devices. Movement, motion, and stagnation are appearing themes, with bicycle wheels and floral leaves, and figures and forms reclining, standing still, or crossing the canvas like Nut in the sky. Nadem’s art is experimental and uninhibited, taking us on a fascinating exploration of subconscious landscapes. As ambitious an artist as he is an entrepreneur—through his family’s organization Art From People to People (creating exhibitions and workshops), and his art supplies store BEAU Art Café—Nadem’s contributions to the Luxor Art Community are vital and innovative. —D.N.
Art From People to People is an independent contemporary Art space based in Luxor, Westbank, in the famous Hassan Fathy Village. Its members are artists, art educators, cultural managers and practitioners who have been independently organizing public art events, workshops and professional trainings since six years. our Art space is envisioned as a hub for community collaboration and inspiring space for makers, artists and innovators to come together. It enables community members of all backgrounds and ages to access space, equipment, professional instruction as well as access to ideas and opportunities to contemporary art making.
